The Latino Leadership Institute had submitted the request to participate on the panel that would address the upcoming elections and/or presenting the iportance of the Latino community to be involved in the political process. This was submitted to the board and we have not, to date, received a response. Please refer to Ms. Ladan Alomar.

I am wondering if there will be speakers to address the Special Education needs of Latino school age students at the conference. This group of students has a significantly low academic performance rate and high level of need. I would like to participant in the conference or volunteer to be a panel member on this issue. Do not hesitate to contact me in this regard. I am from the Long Island region.
I am wondering whether Latino students and Special Education needs related to disabilities will be represented at the conference. I am interesting in participating and/or offering to provide information about these unique students as their academic performance is extremely troubling and the statistics on their graduation rate is amongst the lowest of our student population.

I’ve listened to the speeches made in 2011 about the percentages of Latinas committing suicide. There is so much work to be done for the Latinas, especially the young ones. I would like to hear of the progress/attempts made to resolve, reach out efforts, etc. put in place since last year.
I also, want to say thank you to all that make this conference year-after-year a success. Your work is greatly appreciated. God Bless all the brave that stand up for the voiceless and God Bless America.

meetings with state legislators.

How does individuals obtain tickets for the GALA?
I would love to volunteer for the upcoming Gala event in Albany. I was hoping our agency will contribute to the expense for I to attend this gala as we are in strong need of providing services to our hispanic poluation, this would be a great networking opportunity not only for the agency I work for but for the side project I am currently involved with. Please let me know if i could be of any assistance
