I would like to join the board and be part of the process. I am very active in my community as PTA President and as Highland Park Board member. I would be a grear asccess to this organization. Thank you
I would like to see Somos more involved in local issues affecting the Latinos in their respective communities. I”m suggesting that Somos be connected in some manner with the NYC Community Boards. This is a good time to begin spreading Somos message and mission to the entire city and state.
My other suggestion is that when honoring individuals at your events, your committee should consider local heros/sheros that have realy contributed to their communities and the Latino community. The young Latino males, for example should be awarded and recognized, especially the underepresented and are projecting a positive image the younger males. It’s long over due! One that comes to mind is the Giants Wide receiver…..Victor Cruz! .
